Dear Vendor;
On behalf of the Georgia Jail Association
President Bret Parker, and members of the GJA, we welcome and encourage you to attend our 22nd Annual Training Conference.
The Georgia Jail Association will hold its
Annual Training Conference June 28 through July 02, 2009, at the Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort on St. Simons Island. Located approximately 1 ½ hours south of Savannah, Sea Palms Resort offers the perfect
setting for family vacations, romantic getaways, golf outings, conventions, business meetings, weddings and the many other
special occasions that make life more enjoyable. The Georgia Jail Association
(GJA) invites you to participate in our vendor show to be held in conjunction with the GJA Training Conference. Due to size constraints of this year’s location, we will not be able to host as many vendors as in
years past. Please make your arrangements early; booths will be sold on a first
come basis. In addition to the normal exhibit room, we will be utilizing the
entrance hallway leading to the exhibit hall.
You may contact Sea Palms directly by calling
1-800-841-6268 or visit their website at www.seapalms.com
The Vendor Show is scheduled for Monday,
June 29, from 8:00AM to 11:30 AM at our conference site. The conference will
be attended by Sheriffs, Jail Administrators, and personnel from many different areas from within the jail environment, such
as line officers, supervisors and assistant administrators. There will be numerous
agencies represented from around the state of Georgia.
Vendors are a major part of our conference
and bring new ideas and products to enable us to perform our jobs at a higher standard.
Without the support of the vendors, this organization probably would not exist.
The events that you sponsor are appreciated and we will continue to support our sponsors by including them in the business
process of our operations. Many of you are known to us and we regard you as part
of the GJA family. Those of you that are newcomers are welcome to join us on
St. Simons and enjoy the festivities and fellowship at the conference.
Basic Information for Vendors
1. Vendors are requested to have at least one “Door Prize”
to be awarded during the
show. All winners must be
present to win. GJA will not mail prizes. Each
conference attendee’s
name will be included in the
drawing. We will draw a name from our “pool of names”
and will award your prize
during the vendor show. This
keeps us from having to
draw from a pool of business
cards where someone may
have inadvertently placed two
cards. We will announce your company as having
donated the prize.
2. Included in the cost of the vendors’ fee is a catered brunch that
will be made available to all
registered conference attendees and
vendors.
3. Vendors
will be allowed to set up on Sunday evening at 9:00 pm
and Monday morning beginning
at 6:30 am for the vendor show.
The
exhibit hall will be locked after vendor set up on Sunday night.
