Lieutenant Frank Sosebee is employed by the Dawson County
Sheriff’s Office he was the Assistant Commander of the Detention Center, his current assignment is the implementation
of the new Work Release/House Arrest Programs for the Sheriff’s Office. By implementing this new program it will reduces
the number of inmates incarcerated by allowing them to return to work. The inmates assigned to this program can pay child
support, attend court ordered treatment, obtain their GED and upon release can return home a more productive individual. The
monitoring of these inmates are conducted by certified officers on a daily basis. Lt. Sosebee has been in law enforcement
over 25 years serving Hall and Dawson Counties. He has progressed through the ranks structure as a Patrol Sergeant, Detention
Sergeant and Warrant/Civil/Court Service Sergeant. He accepted the promotion to Lieutenant in January 2006. In 2006 he was
appointed by Bill Hallsworth as one of the Georgia Jail Association regional representative, he currently serves as one of
the at large representative. Lieutenant Sosebee graduated from North Hall High, attended Livingston University and Command
College through Columbus State University. In 1985 he graduated with honors from Northeast Georgia Police Academy. His
professional affiliations are, American Jail Association, Georgia Jail Association, Georgia Civil Process, Georgia TAC Association,
American Deputy Sheriff Association, National Association of Field Training Officers, and the Gainesville Masonic Lodge. The
honor to serve as your next 3rd Vice President is a building block to assist others in this valuable organization.
