As a nominee for Treasurer of the Georgia Jail Association, let
me briefly introduce myself. My name is Evette McKenzie, I have five years
of law enforcement experience and currently employed with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department, assigned to Jail
Administration. I bring fifteen (15) years of corporate administrative experience to the board and would be honored to serve
as Treasurer of this distinguished organization.
Prior to my law enforcement
career, I was employed with a large commercial reinsurance company for fifteen (15) years.
During my tenure, I was assigned to various administrative and supervisory positions throughout the organization. My integrity, attention to detail and professionalism has prepared me for the demands
of this position I will be committed to ensuring all incoming/outgoing funds
are accounted for, providing board members with detailed financial statements on a regular basis. By remaining flexible and attentive to the evolving needs of the organization, I am determined to work
closely with all board members throughout my term.
As a candidate for
the elected position of Treasurer, I am committed to upholding the integrity and vision of the Georgia Jail Association. I enthusiastically solicit your votes for the Treasurer position as I earnestly
desire to serve on the board of a statewide organization whose mission and ongoing goal is to improve jails throughout Georgia.
